I’m looking forward to the Fifth (already!) Irish Criminology Conference to be held in UCD in June. You may know of this Conference as ‘the North South Criminology Conference’. It was last held in Dublin Institute of Technology in June 2008 and was addressed by Professor Ian O’Donnell (UCD) and Professor Bill Lockhart. Other speakers included Mr Paul Goggins, Minister of State for Northern Ireland and Mr Sean Aylward, Secretary of the Department of Justice.
I hope to see you in UCD in June!
The UCD Institute of Criminology will host the Fifth Irish Criminology Conference on Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 June 2009.
Papers are now invited from research students, academics and policy makers in the fields of criminology and criminal justice. If you are interested in presenting a paper, please forward a title and abstract (no more than 200 words) to email@example.com by 30 April. A final decision on the selection of papers will be made by 11 May.
There is no registration fee for the conference.
A number of bursaries will be available to cover travel expenses for students from outside Dublin who wish to attend and present a paper but would be otherwise unable to do so. Those wishing to be considered for a bursary should make this clear when submitting their abstract.
