Limerick Prison and Castlerea Prison are now in new constituencies compared to the 2007 General Election.
Getting penal reform on the political agenda can be difficult, but this election provides a window for change. There is huge potential for a new Minister to make sweeping and lasting changes to our penal system, and to reconceive how we think about punishment and its role in and relationship to wider social, health and education policy.
